Nigeria: A Country Profile for
U.S. Businesses
 |
Home to more than 110 million people,
Nigeria is the United States' largest trading
partner in Sub-Saharan Africa in 2000. Nigeria: A
Country Profile for U.S. Businesses is the first
comprehensive investor guide targeted towards American
companies operating in or pursuing investment in the
country. White House staffers used the 60-page guide as
a primer for President Clinton's August 2000 state
visit. The guide includes chapters on the country's
economic performance, investment environment,
privatization information, and in-depth profiles of the
energy, telecom, transportation, agribusiness and
banking sectors. The guide outlines project development
and finance opportunities available to American
companies, and includes almost 20 pages of Nigerian
contact information and hard-to-find statistical data.

guides on selected African countries. Researched and written
by CCA staff, these guides are recognized as a unique resource
for American companies doing or seeking to do business in
Africa. CCA has also published country guides on
Algeria,
Angola, Equatorial Guinea, and
South Africa.
